Dietetic Internship Rotations

Under the guidance of Dolores Guest, RD, Ph.D., I got to work with the Behavioral Measurement and Population Science (BMPS) research team through weekly Zoom meetings, projects, and presentations. Additionally, I was one of the first dietetic interns to be a part of the Geographic Management of Cancer Health Disparities Program (GMaP) summit as the comprehensive cancer center in New Mexico was selected to host Region 3 (Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Texas). I learned about funding and specific research awards, as well as the process of research review.
